The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning proudly sends NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes throughout North America every day. While this notation of being Nate-Certified definitely sounds reassuring, what does it really mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was developed by and has been supported by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the industry have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration units without being NATE-Certified.

It’s a priority for Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are placing the most skilled technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these qualifications, the NATE-Certification exams verify real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these rules.

Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians attain their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may obtain certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be confident that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job the proper way from the beginning. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only repair your HVAC systems, but to take the best care of your equipment. Call 866-397-3787 to have one of our NATE-Certified experts check out your HVAC system to be sure that it is equipped to secure your family’s comfort throughout the year.
