Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer

September 27, 2016

In October 2016, two Service Experts centers will be turning heads with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are both going to paint two of their service vans pink for the fight against breast cancer.

During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be giving 20% of all sales from their pink vans to their local Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help end breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every Precision tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast.

This is the second time Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted multiple vans pink to raise money for this great cause. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his workers both lost their mothers to different forms of cancer and were inspired to help other families.

“The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey had breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider said. “While the quantity of cases is actually declining each year, that still represents a significant number of families who are dealing with this disease, and that means there’s an immediate need for research and support.”

Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, echoed Schneider’s thoughts. “As stated by the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in the state – for both females and males.”
